Tech showed up on time to repair my refrigerator under warranty. Figured out the issue and said would have to order parts and return. Also having a problem with my washing machine not draining properly and having a nasty moldy smell. This required me to manually drain it at the bottom filter after every wash. Tech said he could come back and check it out but would need a helper. My laundry room is small and the washer and dryer are full size stacked front loaders. Not easy to move. They returned when they said on time and determined the issue may be with the placement of the drain hose and not the machine itself. They readjusted the hose, ran the washer through several cycles, and it seemed to draining better. They said to try it out and they could come back if they needed to. I ran several loads and it's fixed! I had called 2 other appliance repair companies, described the problem and told them they would need to send 2 serviceman to unstack the units to work on the washer. They both said the service call alone would double since they had to send two people. This means the service call would start at $200 not including time and parts. If the drain was blocked or the module needed to be replaced, the repair would easily run into $400. Your guys gave me a break on the price since the job seemed easy to them. The main point is I got an expert diagnosis of the problem that saved me time and a lot of money. I could easily have been taken advantage of but wasn't. That parts for refrigerator came in and that was fixed on time as well. I am very satisfied with both service jobs and will not hesitate to refer my friends and neighbors to your company.

We recently purchased a new Whirlpool Refrigerator from Lowe's on Austin Highway. Shortly after the installation it developed a minor issue with the door. After notifying Whirlpool, the Customer Coordinator with Appliance Care, Candy, contacted us and quickly and conveniently scheduled a technician for an in-home visit. The technician, Steven, exceeded our expectations with his thorough evaluation of the problem, the care he took to correct the issue and his overall customer service skills in working with us. 9 months old Bravos Maytag Washer needed water valve replaced. Placed call on Monday, Luis arrived next day on Tuesday (during scheduled time) and replaced valve within minutes.
Inadequate tech

Touch panel on my dryer was replaced on a Friday afternoon. The dryer was not tested by the tech, was left inoperable. Called Appliance Care immediately to request tech to finish repair. Was told tech could not be sent until Monday. Requested a tech to arrive late due to my work schedule. Monday afternoon, received call from tech at 2:26, I reiterated I would not be home until 6pm. I arrived home at 6, tech was not present and did not call. On Tuesday I unexpectedly worked from home, called Appliance Care to send tech. Tech arrived, finished his repair. Tech was not concerned I was left without a dryer for 4 days, did not offer explanation why dryer was left inoperable. Phoned Appliance Care, asked for speak to management, have not received a return call. Continue to be frustrated with Appliance Care on lack of parts, damaged parts, incorrect parts, units (plural) left inoperable, lack of tools and extremely inadequate work. If Whirlpool did not use Appliance Care for its warranty work, I definitely would not use Appliance Care for any repairs.

Poor Customer Service

ACT needs to train their technicians in communication or revise policy how they communicate. After numerous services and replacements of same parts. I discussed with Doug that if last repair didn't fix problem that it was time make the call that refrigerator was unrepairable. He told me there was nothing he/ACT could do and that I would have to call Whirlpool to tell them refrigerator could not be repaired. I did call Whirlpool and they in turn told me me that company making repairs (ACT) would have to call. Here's my issue. When I told Doug I thought it was time to make the call, he should have either said "Okay, let's make the call while I'm here because they're going to have me test everything before they (Whirlpool) can call it unrepairable." Or, "Call the office and make an appointment for us to come back out and we can make the call together." Instead, he made it sound as though you were completely out of it. I understand it is not your policy to call it unrepairable, but communicating it in a way to the customer that infers that there's nothing more you could do, is poor customer service. He could have also told me that when I call Whirlpool that they would have ACT come out to assess the refrigerator one more time before they (Whirlpool) could claim it as unrepairable, but he did not. He lead me to believe that ACT would not be involved at all. When I expressed my frustration out how he handled the situation, all he would say is it's company policy that ACT cannot call appliance unrepairable. I understand that. What I don't understand is how he handled the situation. I did use strong language and I apologized for that, but I was trying to communicate his way of handling it showed poor customer service. He didn't like what I had to say and stormed out. PLEASE! Communicate with your staff full expectations in similar situations. Not, there's nothing else we can do. Not, when you know Whirlpool is going to have you come back to assess appliance before they'll (Whirlpool) make the claim that it is unrepairable.

We had to wait 3 weeks with a broken refrigerator in a home with 3 small children. They told us we were on the emergency list and it took 6 days to come out and diagnose. Then another week before he could get parts and come back to “possibly fix it” because the technician wasn’t sure what caused our 6 month old refrigerator. We were very disappointed with the wait time it took to get our fridge repaired and disappointed with the knowledge of the technician.

The only drawback was that we were without a refrigerator for three weeks. The repair service is only in the area one day a week. So, after spending a week trying to find someone to look at the fridge ( the local whirlpool dealer would not service the unit because he didn't sell it - we are travelling in an RV with a residential fridge in our trailer). We found you after calling whirlpool HQ. After we contacted you it took a week to get the serviceman here to diagnose the problem. Then another week to get the part in and get him back to us.

Uriah has tried everything he can think of to fix the refrigerator. Not quite 3 years old and he’s been out to fix it several times. At first it wouldn’t keep running, now it freezes EVERYTHING! Top and bottom. Will not pay the money for another extended warranty.

Uriah was very professional in evaluating the problem ( Clicking Noise ) when the Dryer was running. After disassembling the cabinet and testing running the dryer, the clicking almost disappeared. After cleaning in the internal parts of the dryer and reassembling the unit all was running well and the "Mission" was complete.

Mr. Felton was the third Tech that came to service our Dryer which was making a loud noise. He ordered the necessary part and returned two days later to repair dryer. He was professional, patient and very pleasant. Unfortunately, we had to call him back because we couldn't get our washing machine to run; the water valve was turned off during repair service, and we couldn't figure out how to turn it back on. Of course, Mr. Felton came right in and turned the valve with no problem. We really appreciated Appliance Care and Mr. Felton's prompt attention and assistance.

Ezekiel diagnosed the problem of no water or ice pretty quickly. He couldn't fix it at the first visit as he had to get approval for the parts needed. He returned as he said he would and was able to fix the problem, but but around 3 to 5 days later the ice machine quit working again.

There was however water built up in the drain pan as well as the right back side under the deli drawer. The temperatures in all compartments were perfect. I removed the drain tube under the back compartment. Sing a probe, the freezer drain was clear but the RC drain was blocked. I put my pinky finger up there and found that the drain hose is collapsed. I tried to push it open but became apparent it would rip. I Spoke with Adrian at Whirlpool Tech Line and it has been deemed unrepairable. SR#7729907029. Our customer has had this problem for about 1 and a half to 2 years. I provided the SR number to our customer and referred them to cal AIG for settlement."

The display showed 320 F. I explained that ovens cycle and when It is re-set the display will often show a different temperature. My reading on the temperature sensor was at 380F. This is a normal cycling range for an electric bake element. According to Technical Service Pointer W10883103C Kitchenaid Wall Oven Temperatures To Low March 2017. The first thing mentioned is not using aluminum foil on cavity or rack. Our customer was utilizing aluminum foil. Picture included. I showed her the service pointer and referred to page 9 of owners manual. It also calls for checking calibration. I showed our customer how to set calibration in page 8 and she decided to calibrate plus 10 F. I was originally asked by this customer if we could order an extra shelf and that she would pay for it.
